Children's Faith Formation

We're excited to welcome all our children's faith formation programs back onsite this fall. We will be following all Archdiocese health and safety guidelines for our programs. These guidelines do change in response to changes in the status of the pandemic, so please make sure you are subscribed to our children's faith formation mailing list to receive updates.

Sunday School

(Pre-K - 5th grade)

Sunday School meets Sundays from 10-10:55am (between our two Sunday morning Masses). Children are divided by grade levels and taught by our enthusiast and faith filled catechists.

You can download the full schedule HERE.

Registration is required, but there is no fee.

First Communion

(2nd - 5th Grade)

First Communion will be meeting weekly on Monday evenings from 6-7:15pm. First Reconciliation is a required part of the first Communion program. Parents won't be teaching any part of the curriculum at home, but we will have several required parent nights.

2nd grade is when most children receive their first Communion. Children must be at least 7 years old by December 2021 and have been baptized in the Catholic Church. If your child is unbaptized, was baptized in another faith tradition, or is in 6th grade or older and needs to receive their first Communion, please contact Mary Williams for information on which programs are available for them.

You can download the full schedule for First Communion HERE.

Registration is required for this program, but there is no fee.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word

(1st - 5th Grade)

Children’s Liturgy of the Word offers children grades 1st-5th the opportunity to participate in the Liturgy of the Word in a way that is accessible and meaningful for them. Children's Liturgy takes place during the 9am & 11am Masses twice a month.

RCIC

(ages 7-17)

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Children is a program for children between the ages of 7 and 17 who are unbaptized or were baptized in another faith tradition. This program presents the faith in an engaging way at a level accessible to them and prepares participants to receive the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, the Eucharist, and Confirmation).

Sessions meet once a month beginning October 3 on Sundays from 12-1:30pm. In addition to meeting once a month, children are required to attend the sacramental prep program appropriate for their age. For elementary age children this is the first Communion program. For jr high and high school children this is the youth Confirmation program.

Registration forms can be downloaded HERE. Please contact Mary Williams for more information.

Mom’s Group

Mondays, 7:30-9pm, once a month

All Mother’s - new moms, expecting moms, moms who want to adopt, grandmoms, spiritual moms, god-moms - are welcome to join in Mom’s Group. If you’ve been looking for a way to connect and have fellowship with other moms, this is the perfect opportunity. Use the link below to sign-up for more information and meeting dates.

Volunteers Needed!

It's only through the help and support of our parishioners that we are able to provide faith formation programs for our parish. We are badly in need of more volunteers for all our faith formation programs this year.

This includes:

  • Sunday School teachers
  • First Communion teachers
  • Children's Liturgy ministers
  • Edge (jr. high) Core Team
  • LifeTeen (high School) Core Team
  • Confirmation Core Team

If you love your faith and think it's important that it be passed down to the next generation of Catholics, then God might be calling you to volunteer with one of our children or youth faith formation programs. To receive more information on any of these programs, sign up below.
