June is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
On Thursday, June 11, the U.S. bishops consecrated the United States to the Sacred Heart of Jesus as a part of the celebration of our country's 250th anniversary. The bishops, including Archbishop Etienne, are also encouraging all the faithful to grow closer to Jesus by bringing this devotion of love and mercy into their daily life.
Below are suggestions for participating:
• Read Archbishop Etienne's Pastoral Letter on the Sacred Heart of Jesus. You can download the letter from the archdiocesan website.
• Enthrone an image of the Sacred Heart in your home. For the enthronement prayer, please see the archdiocesan website.
• Explore the Sacred Heart section of the website of the Archdiocese of Seattle. You will find many resources, in addition to the above.
• Watch the French docudrama Sacred Heart: His Reign Has No End, which will be shown at the AMC Woodinville 12 theater at 4:00pm on Sunday, June 14. Please see the AMC website for tickets. Please note that there will be other showtimes in the greater Seattle area as well, which you can find via Phantom Entertainment.
The Annual Catholic Appeal has started. Not only does the ACA fund a wide range of ministries throughout the Archdiocese, but the ACA also directly helps our parish through a variety of formation programs and archdiocesan offices providing a range of administrative support services. Additionally, any funds over our goal of $125,000 will be returned to Saint Teresa Parish. Many thanks to all of you who have already turned in your ACA pledge. So far, 6% of our Saint Teresa families have participated. We are hoping for 100% participation. To contribute, please click here or on the picture below.
Meals Needed for Camp United We Stand
Camp United We Stand is now at Northshore United Church of Christ, just a few miles from Saint Teresa. The camp is very grateful for the generosity of our community in providing daily meals while they were staying on our campus. At the same time, since their move, they have had much fewer people signing up form the broader community. If you would still like to provide a meal for the encampment, you can sign up at this link.
