Music Director Position

Saint Teresa of Calcutta Church in Woodinville, WA, is seeking a Music Director. The Music Director is responsible for coordinating all liturgical music in the parish, including recruitment of singers and musicians, organizing choir groups, planning and providing music for weekend Masses and special liturgies throughout the year. Preference will be given to applicants who are proficient at playing the piano and the organ and can lead music both instrumentally and vocally. The applicant must also be familiar with the Roman Catholic order of the Mass. This is an exempt position. The time commitment will be negotiated in the hiring process. $30-$40 per hour, depending on experience, in accordance with archdiocesan guidelines.

Qualifications:

- Level of music proficiency necessary to carry out the duties of this position. 
- Familiarity with the tradition of Catholic music and the Roman Catholic order of the Mass. 
- Ability and willingness to create a music program rooted in Catholic musical tradition. 
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. 
- Ability to recruit, form, and lead volunteers. 
- Openness to flexible hours, including regular weekend and evening work. 
- Willingness to uphold the teachings and values of the Catholic Church. 
- Practicing Roman Catholic preferred.
